The Anti-Corruption Foundation has published an investigation into property belonging to Rostelecom CEO Mikhail Oseyevsky and his family that investigators value at more than 1 billion rubles.
The original investigation was released as an FBK video. In official channels associated with Alexei Navalny’s team, investigators said they had found luxury real estate linked to Oseyevsky’s family in Moscow and St. Petersburg as well as property in Crimea and land holdings.
FBK says the findings are of public interest because of Rostelecom’s role in Russia’s telecommunications infrastructure and in the technical implementation of internet traffic restrictions.
The foundation describes Oseyevsky as one of the executives involved in Russia’s system of internet censorship and argues that his wealth is connected to his state-sector career. Those are FBK’s assessments; the underlying findings of the investigation concern the assets identified by journalists and their estimated value.
