The Kremlin said Russia and the United States could pursue major economic projects if Washington stopped linking the development of bilateral trade to efforts to end the war in Ukraine.
At the same time, Moscow has not abandoned its demands regarding Ukraine. Russian authorities continue to insist on territorial and political conditions that Kyiv rejects.
The Kremlin’s comments therefore signaled interest in expanding economic cooperation with the United States while maintaining Russia’s existing negotiating position on the war.
