Russian authorities have delayed a plan to impose additional charges on mobile subscribers using more than 15 gigabytes of foreign internet traffic per month, according to RBC, Kommersant, and Forbes, all citing telecommunications industry sources.
Such traffic can arise, among other things, through the use of VPN services.
The outlets reported that implementation of the mechanism had been postponed at least until closer to the fall, while some sources linked the timing to the State Duma elections.
No official document establishing a new implementation date has been published.
