Moscow’s Nikulinsky District Court granted a request from the Prosecutor General’s Office to transfer to the state property belonging to former First Deputy Defense Minister Ruslan Tsalikov, his relatives, and associated individuals and companies worth around 5.5 billion rubles.
The ruling was reported on the evening of May 25. The hearing itself was held behind closed doors.
The Prosecutor General’s Office alleged that the value of the assets significantly exceeded the official income of Tsalikov and his relatives and that the property had been acquired with proceeds of corruption.
Tsalikov disputed ownership of some of the assets and had previously denied allegations in a related criminal case.
He worked for many years alongside former Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and served as first deputy defense minister from 2015 to 2024.
