The Anti-Corruption Foundation says it found about 500 million rubles in property linked to the family of First Deputy Defense Minister Leonid Gornin.
Gornin is responsible for financial support for the Russian Armed Forces. Before joining the Defense Ministry, he served as a deputy finance minister.
Among the assets listed by FBK are land near Zvenigorod worth approximately 38 million rubles, a 176-square-meter apartment in Bolshoi Tishinsky Lane valued at around 133 million rubles and two apartments registered to Gornin’s sons. The foundation values one at around 150 million rubles and the other at 87 million rubles.
FBK also cites information about cars and foreign travel by family members and argues that the identified assets are difficult to explain by their official income. That assessment belongs to the investigators and does not by itself establish that the property was acquired illegally.
