Eight people were killed in drone attacks on Wildberries logistics centers in Kotovsk, Tambov region, and Elektrostal, Moscow region.
Russian authorities initially reported that seven employees had been killed at the warehouse in Kotovsk. The overall death toll from the attacks on the two sites later rose to eight.
Large fires broke out at the facilities.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the warehouses were used in supply chains involving goods and components connected to Russian military production.
There was no independent confirmation at the time that the warehouses were being used for military purposes as described by the Ukrainian side.
Wildberries is one of Russia’s largest e-commerce companies, and its logistics centers serve civilian commerce.
The attack became one of the deadliest strikes on major commercial facilities inside Russia during Ukraine’s long-range drone campaign.
