The daughter, former wife, and a woman journalists identify as the current partner of Rodina party leader Alexey Zhuravlev own real estate worth about 300 million rubles in total, according to an investigation by Verstka.
The outlet compared property registry records, information about Zhuravlev’s relatives, and his earlier asset declarations.
According to Verstka, Zhuravlev himself had for years declared income that appeared modest compared with the value of the assets identified by the outlet, while reporting that he owned no residential property.
Zhuravlev heads Rodina, the party that filed a lawsuit on August 7 seeking to cancel Yabloko’s federal candidate list. The Supreme Court granted the lawsuit on August 10.
Verstka’s investigation does not mean that law enforcement agencies or courts have found the assets to have been acquired illegally or established that they are effectively owned by Zhuravlev himself.
