Vladimir Putin has instructed the government to develop a program to rebuild commercial warehouses damaged or destroyed in Ukrainian attacks. He said logistics facilities should be restored with state participation where necessary and rebuilt to a higher technological standard.
The statement followed a series of strikes on Russian logistics infrastructure. Since mid-July, dozens of warehouses have been targeted, including facilities linked to Wildberries, Russia’s largest online marketplace.
Putin acknowledged that the attacks were causing visible damage to the Russian economy but said they had not led to “critical consequences.” Ukraine says its strikes on targets inside Russia are intended to reduce Moscow’s ability to continue the war.
