Ukrainian forces carried out strikes against logistics infrastructure belonging to Russian online marketplace Ozon for three consecutive days.
The first attacks hit warehouses in Chapayevsk in the Samara region and in Orenburg. On August 24, facilities in southern Russia and the North Caucasus also came under attack. Ozon reported fires, staff evacuations and temporary shutdowns at several logistics centers.
Some early reports were later revised: an evacuation did not always mean that a facility had actually been damaged, and several initial reports of fires at individual warehouses were subsequently corrected.
Ukraine’s Defense Ministry said that after a campaign of strikes against Wildberries warehouses, Ukrainian forces had moved on to Ozon infrastructure. Ozon is Russia’s second-largest online marketplace.
