Russia’s leadership is preparing to intensify strikes on Ukraine after concluding that negotiations to end the war have reached a dead end, Bloomberg reported, citing three people close to the Kremlin.
According to the sources, Moscow is considering increasing conventional ballistic missile strikes on Kyiv, including the city center, as well as on infrastructure in other Ukrainian cities.
The information is based on anonymous sources and does not mean that such a plan has been formally approved or is already being implemented.
The following day, Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia did not need a “military escalation,” while also promising a “tough response” to Ukrainian attacks on Russian infrastructure.
