Security officers detained six Yabloko representatives running in federal or regional elections in the Sverdlovsk region on September 7.
Yekaterinburg city council faction leader Konstantin Kiselev was detained first. Later, Alexander Kudelkin, Vladimir Sobyanin, Shana Ogney, Alexei Kholodarev and Vladimir Sevostyanov were also detained.
Kiselev and most of the others were later charged under Part 1 of Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses for displaying prohibited symbols.
Once such court decisions enter into force, they can provide grounds for candidates to be barred from elections.
