Two Russian drones violated Moldovan airspace during an aerial attack on Ukraine.
One aircraft crashed on Moldovan territory, while the second continued into Romanian airspace.
The incident occurred on September 8. Moldova temporarily closed its airspace because of the drone threat, delaying the departure of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s plane as he traveled to Norway.
Moldovan authorities confirmed that the aircraft were Russian.
