Russia’s Justice Ministry has removed publicist Yevgeny Ponasenkov from the register of “foreign agents.”
The ministry said the decision was based on a “loss of the characteristics of a foreign agent.”
At the same time, the ministry added Yelena Matveyeva, Yekaterina Mereminskaya, Rinat Mukhametov, the information resource Kanal Vizionera and the Perm-36 project to the register.
Russia’s “foreign agent” designation carries extensive restrictions and requirements concerning reporting, publications and other public activity.
