Russia’s Interior Ministry placed Meduza journalist and What Happened podcast host Vladislav Gorin on a wanted list. The move became public on the evening of September 17.
A criminal case had previously been opened against Gorin under Part 1 of Article 284.1 of the Russian Criminal Code, which concerns participation in the activities of an organization designated as “undesirable” in Russia.
According to the Investigative Committee, the case was prompted by six audio recordings published in 2025 in which the journalist allegedly “disseminated informational materials about political and social processes taking place in the Russian Federation.”
Russian authorities designated Meduza an “undesirable organization” in 2023.
