Russian assets belonging to Tarkett and four other companies were transferred by Vladimir Putin on October 15 to the temporary management of Center Capital Management Company. RBC and investigative journalists have linked the company to Marat Mirkhaidarov, a former first deputy prime minister of Russia's Transbaikal region.
According to SPARK corporate registry data cited by RBC, the Moscow-registered Center Capital Management Company was previously called Grandstatus, and Mirkhaidarov is listed as its chief executive and beneficial owner.
The Insider noted, however, that two companies with similar names are registered in Russia and that Putin's decree does not specify the recipient company's taxpayer identification or state registration numbers. The legal entity therefore cannot be identified conclusively from the text of the decree alone.
Agentstvo also linked the management company to Mirkhaidarov. He himself confirmed to journalists that he had been given control of the enterprises.
Mirkhaidarov previously served as first deputy prime minister of the Transbaikal region and later took part in Russia's war against Ukraine with the Akhmat unit.
