Russia’s Justice Ministry on October 16 added singer Diana Loginova, known as Naoko, musician Alexander Orlov and the movement Malinovy Klin — Independent Kuban to its register of “foreign agents.”
Loginova and Orlov are members of the Stoptime music group. They had previously faced repeated administrative prosecution following street performances.
The Justice Ministry alleged that Loginova distributed materials produced by other designated “foreign agents” and organizations deemed “undesirable” in Russia, opposed the war in Ukraine and spread what the ministry described as “false information” about the Russian authorities.
In Orlov’s case, the ministry cited the distribution of what it called “anti-Russian materials,” interaction with designated “foreign agents” and the dissemination of their publications.
The ministry accused Malinovy Klin — Independent Kuban, among other things, of spreading “false information” and calling for violations of Russia’s territorial integrity.
All of these descriptions reflect the Russian Justice Ministry’s stated position.
