Prosecutors have asked a court to transfer to the state property worth an estimated 970 million rubles belonging to Krasnodar region First Deputy Governor Igor Galas and people linked to him.
The Krasnodar region courts’ joint press service announced that the lawsuit had been filed.
Galas and 13 other people are named as defendants.
Prosecutors allege that while serving in government, Galas acquired property and registered assets in the names of close relatives and trusted associates in violation of anti-corruption legislation.
These allegations represent the prosecution’s position and have not yet been confirmed by a final court ruling.
The property has not been transferred to the state. The lawsuit has only been submitted to the court for consideration.
