A district court in Omsk has ordered the arrest in absentia of Dmitry Veliky, founder of the StopWarCrime and Putin's GULAG projects, in a criminal case involving alleged participation in a terrorist organization and public calls for terrorism.
Investigators consider Veliky a member of the Freedom of Russia Legion, which Russian authorities have designated a terrorist organization.
According to investigators, between November 4, 2024, and August 2, 2025, Veliky published online materials that Russian law enforcement authorities classify as calls for terrorist activity.
These claims represent the investigators' version of events. There is no publicly available final court judgment finding Veliky guilty of the charges.
Russia's Interior Ministry previously placed Veliky on its wanted list. In July 2025, the Justice Ministry added him to the country's "foreign agents" register.
