Three people were injured in drone attacks on Russia's Bryansk region overnight on October 17. One of the aircraft struck the roof of a five-story apartment building in the city of Bryansk, regional authorities said.
According to Governor Yegor Kovalchuk, one person was injured near the village of Katashin in the Novozybkov district when a drone struck a moving truck.
The injured driver was hospitalized.
Two other people suffered minor shrapnel injuries after a drone struck a five-story residential building in Bryansk's Fokinsky district.
Residents were evacuated from the building. Following medical examinations, the two injured people were prescribed outpatient treatment.
Regional authorities also reported damage to two passenger vehicles.
Residents described hearing explosions and air defense activity and seeing a fire. Videos circulating on social media appeared to show a burning building, reportedly in Bryansk.
Russia's Defense Ministry said its air defenses had shot down 610 drones overnight across several Russian regions, annexed Crimea and the Black Sea. The governor said 147 drones had been destroyed over the Bryansk region during the day.
The figures could not be independently verified.
Russian authorities blamed the attacks on Ukrainian forces. Ukraine did not comment on the circumstances of these specific incidents.
The three injuries resulted from two separate incidents: the attack on the truck and the drone strike on the apartment building.
