The United States is once again providing Ukraine with intelligence to warn of missile strikes, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview with NBC's Meet the Press. Reuters reported his remarks on October 18.
According to Zelenskyy, the sharing of such data had been “unblocked” and is now functioning. His statement, however, does not establish precisely when or to what extent the US resumed providing the information.
US President Donald Trump had previously maintained that intelligence-sharing with Ukraine had not stopped. Ukrainian representatives, by contrast, had reported instances in which Kyiv did not receive warnings needed to respond promptly to missile threats.
Zelenskyy's remarks concern intelligence used to warn of Russian missile strikes. Available reports contain no official confirmation from US agencies of the length of any interruption or the extent of the restored support.
