Members of the far-right Russian Community movement arrived at a bodywork event held in a yoga studio on Krzhizhanovskogo Street in St. Petersburg. Published videos show masked individuals, including one person wearing body armor with a Russian Interior Ministry patch. The patch alone does not establish that person's official status. Mediazona reported the incident on October 19.
Organizers from the Play.event project said a group of people burst into the gathering and demanded that it stop, alleging that the event was inappropriate. According to the organizers, a female attendee injured her arm and was taken away by ambulance. No independent medical documentation was included in the published accounts.
The organizers also alleged that police officers they had called found no violations by the event's participants but did not detain most of the activists who had arrived. They said they intended to complain to prosecutors and the Interior Ministry's internal affairs unit.
Video recordings document the presence of masked individuals. The circumstances of the reported injury, the authority of those present and the lawfulness of the police response require further examination. No official Interior Ministry response addressing the organizers' complaints was cited at the time of publication.
