Britain and Poland have agreed to expand cooperation on air defense, drones and counter-drone systems. The new framework defense plan also covers coordination of procurement and military exercises.
According to an official British government statement, the two countries intend to develop joint projects and strengthen the defense of Europe's eastern flank. The areas of cooperation include missile development for air defense systems and unmanned technologies.
Signing the framework document does not mean joint factories have already begun mass production or that new systems have been delivered to the armed forces. Timetables and the scale of production and procurement will depend on subsequent agreements and the implementation of planned programs.
The plan is intended to strengthen Britain's and Poland's defense capabilities. The published document does not announce a specific shipment of weapons to Ukraine.
