Georgy Paramoshin, imprisoned in connection with the Telegram channel Natsdem, was placed in a punishment cell after refusing to weave camouflage nets for the Russian military. His relatives reported the incident.
According to his family, Paramoshin has also faced pressure involving threats to transfer him to harsher detention conditions. Their account does not specify how long he was placed in the punishment cell or the official reason for the disciplinary measure.
Human rights advocates previously described conflicts between Paramoshin and officers at Pretrial Detention Center No. 1 in Gorno-Altaysk. During the summer he was given several disciplinary penalties in a short period and placed on a preventive monitoring register. His defense team also reported threats by detention-center staff.
In October 2025, a court in Sergiyev Posad sentenced Paramoshin to eight years in prison under laws concerning the organization of an extremist community, public calls for extremism, and incitement of hatred. The case concerned the Natsdem channel, which published both anti-migrant statements and criticism of the Russian authorities and the war against Ukraine.
