Russian technology company Yandex withdrew its previously issued forecasts for 2026 revenue and adjusted EBITDA on October 29. In its corporate financial announcement, the company linked the change to the consequences of attacks on its data centres in October.
Yandex said the October events had not affected third-quarter results because the quarter ended before the attacks. However, their impact now needs to be taken into account when estimating future performance, so the company is no longer using its previous guidance as a benchmark for investors.
Third-quarter revenue was 411 billion rubles, up 12% year on year, while adjusted EBITDA reached 88 billion rubles, also up 12%. Those figures relate to the quarter that ended before the October attacks.
The statement also says the company does not plan to increase its total capital expenditure for 2026 because necessary backup capacity and equipment had been purchased in advance. Yandex invested 115 billion rubles during the first nine months of the year. The withdrawal of guidance chiefly reflects uncertainty over revenue and profitability during the remaining months of 2026.
