Russian bailiffs transferred more than 1,000 gold bars and coins to the state precious-metals depository, Gokhran, as part of enforcement proceedings involving relatives and other associates of Alexander Chernov, a former chairman of the Krasnodar Regional Court. Federal Bailiff Service Director Dmitry Aristov announced the transfer on October 31.
Chernov headed the regional court until 2019. In April 2026, a court ordered the transfer to the state of assets worth almost 900 million rubles; case records mentioned 36 kilograms of gold, according to TASS.
