Russian electricity supplier Mosenergosbyt plans to add 31 categories of customer activity to a system for sharing information with the Federal Security Service (FSB), according to documents reported by the outlet Ostorozhno, Moskva on October 30. The documents describe a proposed expansion, not confirmation that all the new data-sharing channels are operating.
The activities listed include changes involving passport details and Russian individual insurance account numbers (SNILS), confirmation of property ownership, bill downloads and failed attempts to pay electricity charges. The documents also refer to login and password-change events, access to customer accounts through third-party services, and the transmission of information to an authorized FSB unit either upon request or automatically.
