Russia and India have agreed to stop drafting an agreement allowing organized tour groups to travel between the countries without visas, Russian Foreign Ministry Consular Department Director Alexei Klimov said on October 31.
Klimov said India had not previously signed international agreements of this kind. Following consultations, both sides agreed to discontinue work on the draft. No such group visa-waiver arrangement had ever entered into force.
