Estonian authorities expelled Russian national Leonid Karabeshkin on November 2 and barred him from entering the Schengen Area. The decision followed a recommendation from Estonia's Internal Security Service (KAPO).
KAPO spokeswoman Marta Tuul alleged that Karabeshkin regularly traveled to Russia and met people associated with Russian intelligence services. She also cited links to the Center for International and Regional Policy (CIRP), RuBaltic and Regnum.
