Russian President Vladimir Putin promised to halt the recruitment of Ghanaian citizens to fight in the war against Ukraine, including those seeking to enlist voluntarily, Ghanaian Foreign Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said.
Ablakwa made the statement on November 1 following a meeting between the presidents of Russia and Ghana on October 30. The Kremlin has not publicly confirmed such an agreement.
