Oil shipments through the Atyrau–Samara trunk pipeline were temporarily suspended on November 2, Kazakhstan's Energy Ministry spokesperson Asel Serikpayeva said.
According to Serikpayeva, pumping stopped at 6:09 a.m. Astana time (4:09 a.m. Moscow time) following what she described as a drone attack on the Samara production and dispatch hub.
The ministry said relevant services were assessing the technical condition of the infrastructure and that it expected oil intake along the route to resume soon.
