Following a drone attack on Russia's Samara region overnight on November 1–2, researchers reported a thermal anomaly near the Samara oil pumping and dispatch station. The regional governor had previously reported the drone attack itself.
ASTRA published a geolocation comparison of material related to the attack. Separately, The Insider examined data from NASA's FIRMS satellite fire-monitoring system and detected a thermal anomaly near the oil facility.
Satellite readings indicate a source of heat but do not establish whether any equipment was damaged. Regional authorities have not confirmed a strike on the station.
