A Russian marketplace suspended sales of artist Sasha Skochilenko's book My Prison Trip after informing publisher Freedom Letters of a warning from media regulator Roskomnadzor. Freedom Letters founder Georgy Urushadze described the incident but did not identify the marketplace.
According to Urushadze's account of the notice, the retailer had been told that certain products might not be permitted for sale in Russia. It intended to resume sales once the regulator withdrew its request. No public Roskomnadzor document establishing a blanket ban on the book has been presented.
My Prison Trip was published in 2025 and includes material about Skochilenko's imprisonment. In 2023, the artist received a seven-year prison sentence over an anti-war protest involving price tags in a supermarket. She was released in August 2024 as part of a prisoner exchange.
