Ukraine's parliamentary human rights commissioner, Dmytro Lubinets, said on November 2 that the parties had recorded no violations of an agreed ceasefire around Russian-occupied Oleshky. According to the ombudsman, Ukrainian and Russian representatives confirmed that the arrangements had been observed before the humanitarian operation ended.
Lubinets also addressed reports of military equipment appearing during the pause. He said vehicles marked with crosses had been used for mine clearance and were subsequently withdrawn. He rejected the characterization of their presence as a troop deployment.
Lubinets said the responsible representatives of the two sides had remained in regular contact and checked compliance with the arrangements every two hours.
Ukraine's General Staff, however, separately accused Russian units of rotating troops and strengthening their positions during the pause.
