Russia’s Nenets Autonomous Okrug has introduced budget subsidies for recruiting foreign nationals into contract military service. The October 30 decree was published on the official legal portal.
Funding is earmarked for the nonprofit Centre for Support of Participants in the Special Military Operation and Their Families. The organisation can hire intermediaries to find foreign nationals who will sign contracts through the region’s military recruitment office.
The maximum cost of recruiting one person is set at 1.6 million rubles. The money pays for recruitment services, not the foreign servicemember’s own enlistment bonus.
