Moscow's Nikulinsky District Court ruled that Russia's Social Fund had unlawfully refused to count a period of childcare involving a child born in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic when assessing Tatyana Mironova's pension entitlement. The circumstances of the dispute are described in court materials examined by journalists.
According to the reporting, the court ordered the fund to award Mironova a pension effective December 3, 2025, but rejected her request for payments dating back to January 2022.
The dispute concerned, among other things, a childcare period from July 30, 1986, to January 29, 1988. The case materials also referred to studies in Kyiv from 1987 to 1991. Recognition of the childcare period does not mean that the entire period of study was credited toward her pension.
On November 3, 2026, an appeal in Mironova’s pension case was registered as No. Zh-75750/2026.
