The Russian-appointed management of the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant said on November 3 that two people had been killed in a car during a drone strike. It said one victim was a plant employee. The Russian side blamed Ukraine for the attack, but that attribution has not been independently corroborated. Ukraine had not commented on the allegation at the time of the report.
According to the plant's management, this was the third death of a plant worker in two weeks and the thirteenth since April.
On October 29, the International Atomic Energy Agency received a report that another Zaporizhzhia plant worker had been killed in a separate drone incident. The IAEA did not establish who launched the drone in that case.
