The Russian Independent Media Archive (RIMA), working with the Kronika project, has launched a digital collection of Novaya Gazeta covering print and online editions, regional newsrooms and special projects. The collection page lists 457,766 items from 16 sources.
The archive includes all 3,333 issues of the Moscow-based Novaya Gazeta published between 1993 and 2022, alongside articles from its website. It also contains the St Petersburg edition's print and online output, material from other regional newsrooms, videos and the newspaper's English-language edition.
Other holdings include all 60 issues of Toya Samaya Novaya, Novaya Rasskaz-Gazeta, 16 multimedia special projects and memorial websites dedicated to Novaya Gazeta journalists. A searchable interface brings together material previously spread across separate collections.
