Russia's Prosecutor General's Office announced on November 5 that the activities of the Georgian organization Droa!, an opposition political party, were deemed undesirable in Russia. The designation was confirmed in the office's official announcement.
Prosecutors said the organization was registered in 2021 and belongs to the Coalition for Change alliance. The authorities cited the party's political positions, including its support for closer ties between Georgia and the European Union, criticism of Russian policies and calls to change relations with Moscow. Prosecutors characterized the members' views as “Russophobic,” a label used by the Russian authorities. The designation concerns the party's activities in Russia, not criminal convictions of its members.
