Ukraine's High Anti-Corruption Court ordered an authorized prosecution official to enter a complaint concerning Davyd Arakhamia, a member of parliament and leader of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations. The November 4 court order was reported the same day.
Anti-corruption activists alleged that lawmakers may have received unofficial payments in return for votes. The court ordered the complaint registered for investigation but did not establish Arakhamia’s involvement in any alleged payments; the ruling does not amount to formal notification of suspicion against him.
