World Archery Europe (WAE) has decided to lift existing restrictions on athletes, teams and officials representing the Russian Archery Federation at events held or sanctioned by the European governing body. Its executive board made the decision on October 31, 2026, and it will take effect on January 1, 2027.
According to WAE's official announcement, the decision applies to events organised or sanctioned by the European federation. It does not automatically change host countries' visa rules or restrictions imposed by other international sporting bodies.
